The mission of the Hull Park for the Blind is to provide recreational, educational and social activities and programs for those who are blind or have low vision. Since 1962, we have hosted individuals from all over the United States and other countries at our beautiful 22 acre campus at the foot of the Cascade Mountains in Sandy, Oregon. We provide a variety of recreational retreats and camps tailored to the needs of our guests with vision loss. Our high adventure camps include such activities as skiing, white water rafting, horseback riding, and windsurfing. Other retreats are a bit more relaxing with crafts, gardening, movies and talent nights. Our Living with Vision Loss Seminars connect guest with experts and resources in areas such as independent living, assistive technology, braille, transportation and other areas that help blind and low vision individuals meet their goals and improve their skills and independence. We also rent our facilities to the public for weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions, and educational camps. Guest of Hull Park enjoy comfortable dorm rooms, delicious meal service in our dining room, a game room, an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, hiking trails, and our enchanting sensory garden. Hull Park is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation that depends on the generosity of our donors. To learn more about donating or becoming a member or supporter, check out our How to Help page.
